The short answer

We earn a referral fee. When you ask us for a valuation and you decide you want to explore selling, we may connect you with a reputable mineral buyer or professional from our network. If that connection leads to a completed deal, the buyer pays us a referral fee. You never pay us anything, and the fee does not reduce what you receive.

Why we are telling you this so plainly

This niche is full of websites that pretend to be neutral while secretly working as buyers or pushing owners toward fast sales. We think that is the wrong way to treat people who are often confused and vulnerable, especially those who just inherited rights. So we decided to do the opposite and put our business model right out in the open. You should never have to guess how a company makes its money.

What this means for you

Because we earn a fee only when there is a successful connection, you might think we would push everyone to sell. We deliberately built our approach so that we do not, and here is why that is in our own interest too. If we pushed people into bad sales, our reputation would collapse, and a resource like this lives or dies on trust. We would rather help a hundred people understand their value honestly, and earn a fee from the few who genuinely want to sell, than pressure everyone and be known as just another mill.

In practice, that means we are comfortable telling you when keeping your minerals is the better choice. We are comfortable telling you to slow down, get a second opinion, or talk to your own attorney. None of that costs you anything, and all of it builds the trust that makes our model work over the long run.

What you never pay

  • You do not pay for a valuation. It is free.
  • You do not pay us a commission or a fee, ever.
  • If you sell through a buyer we introduce, our fee comes from the buyer, not from your proceeds.
  • You are never obligated to sell, or to do anything at all.

How we choose who to connect you with

If you want to explore selling, we aim to connect you only with buyers and professionals who have a track record of treating owners fairly. We are selective because a bad referral hurts us as much as it hurts you. That said, we encourage you to do your own checking too. What we do with your information

We use your details to prepare your estimate and to contact you the way you asked. We do not sell your personal information to random third parties. If you never want to sell

That is completely fine, and it is more common than you might think. Plenty of people request a valuation purely to understand what they own, then keep their minerals. You will not be pestered, and you owe us nothing. We hope the information is useful on its own.
